Audio-Technica Corporation is a Japanese firm. Company designs and manufactures professional microphones, headphones, turntables, phonographic magnetic cartridges, and other audio equipment. It was founded in 1962 in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
In 2008, the firm celebrated its 20th year of providing microphones for presidential debates in the United States.
Audio-Technica created “Uniguard” in 2005 as a technique of making microphones resistant to radio frequency interference from cell phones, Bluetooth devices, wireless computer networks, and walkie-talkies.
Since firm engineers improved several various aspects of microphone manufacture and operation, the function was built employing 13 patents. The new RFI-resistant technology has been integrated into over 50 of the company’s existing microphone models.
